Region: EL VINO DE ALTURA ! Campo Real Vinícola, located in the municipality of Trancoso, Zacatecas, Zac., 27 kms south of the capital, at 2300 m above sea level, with a vineyard of 40 hectares.
Tasting notes: Eye Cherry red with brick-red edge. Bright, clear, striking and developed. Nose (aromas) With great, sincere intensity and hearty red fruits, vanilla and fruity notes as a whole. Mouth (palate) Full-bodied and strengthening the sense of smell. Distinguished by the interplay of vanilla and red fruits, which result in an intense, strong and extremely elegant wine flowing.
Very tasty, solid structure, has major potential for further development until 2022 (3 - 7 years fm release). The Merlot 2013 won the Gold medal at the Mondial du Merlot & Assemblages in Lugano/Switzerland 2016! (the first mexican vineyard which achieved such an award). In 2014 the wine producer "Campo Real Vinicola" was awarded 608.33 points and as the best winery in Mexico. All red wines were internationally awarded with gold / silver.
